Benedict grad named director of education center

Listen to this articleSantee native and Benedict College graduate Terrence Gilmore has been named director of Saint Leo University’s Shaw Education Center, based at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter.
Saint Leo University, located in Tampa, Fla., offers associate and bachelor’s degrees at the Shaw Education Center.
Gilmore, who has more than 10 years of experience working in higher education, will be introduced at an open house to be held Sept. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sumter Education Office.
Gilmore earned a degree in child and family development from Benedict in 2002 and a master’s degree in management from Southern Wesleyan University in Central in 2008. He has held positions at Morris College in Sumter, Claflin University in Orangeburg and Limestone College in Gaffney.
