The S.C. Drought Response committee has upgraded the drought status of all 46 counties, citing deteriorating conditions including extreme heat and little to no precipitation across the state.

The S.C. Drought Response committee upgraded the counties this week, according to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. The department said parts of the Lowcountry have received less than 10 inches of rain since Jan. 1.

New law expands hemp program participation
