Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) will host its 16th annual A Night for the Children Gala September 19, 2019. This years event will take place in The Cedar Room at The Cigar Factory, located in Charleston, South Carolina. The best black-tie with flair event in the Lowcountry, CYDCs A Night for the Children Gala, is a night for celebrating, support, and giving back. Guests will enjoy a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, live music, dancing and special performances from CYDC residents. This years theme is A World of Pure Imagination, showcasing beautiful décor and ambiance from the world of Willy Wonka.
Founded in 1790, Carolina Youth Development Center is an important part of Charleston’s historic and cultural heritage, a direct descendant of The Charleston Orphan House, America’s first publicly-funded orphanage. Carolina Youth Development Center is a non-profit organization helping give healing and hope to child victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment.. We offer quality, comprehensive care, and programs that deliver a continuum of prevention, assessment, intervention and treatment services. CYDC also provides prevention services that helps at-risk families stay together through our Community-Based Prevention Services.
