Sonoco senior vice president and CFO Barry Saunders and Tennessee Titans placekicker Ryan Succop are among the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business 2018 distinguished alumni award recipients.

The school will honor the four award winners at 34th annual leadership dinner on April 19.

Saunders, who received his undergraduate degree in 1981 and a master’s of business administration in 1989, became CFO of the Hartsville-based global packaging company in 2011 after joining the company in 1989.

He joins Terrance Williams, Nationwide chief marketing officer and president of emerging business, as 2018 Distinguished Alumnus award winners. Williams, a 1990 graduate, joined Nationwide in 1995. In 2017, Forbes recognized Williams as one of the world’s most influential CMOs.

Succop, a 2009 graduate, joins 2005 graduate James Wolf, vice president and senior financial advisor for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, as Distinguished Young Alumnus award winners. The two-time second-team all-SEC player made the NFL’s all-rookie team with Kansas City before signing with Tennessee in 2014. In 2017, Succop broke the league record with 56 consecutive made field goals under 50 yards.

Wolf is also a senior portfolio and retirement accredited financial advisor. He has served as president of the My Carolina Alumni Association of Charlotte and the Charlotte Gamecock Club for nearly 10 years.

The awards dinner will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the USC Alumni Center at 900 Senate St. Tickets are available online until April 12.
