Dinndorf, a Columbia resident who holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of Saint Benedict and a Juris Doctor from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, will begin work at the foundation on Sept. 4.

“I am thrilled to lead the Governor's School for Science & Mathematics foundation and support the incredible work of the Governor's School to prepare South Carolina's future leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics,” said Dinndorf, who retired from Columbia College in June 2017. “The Governor's School for Science & Mathematics is a national leader and a treasure for the people of South Carolina. I'm excited to be part of this exceptional team.”

The foundation is embarking on a new strategic plan to identify talent in early grades and expand partnerships with schools throughout the state.
