Registration is now open for FYPColumbia (Find Your Place Columbia), a citywide event connecting local organizations, nonprofits and small businesses in Columbia, with the Midlands residents.

FYPColumbia will be held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Boyd Horicultural Center at Hampton-Preston Mansion, 1615 Blanding St. The Event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Must be ages 21-plus to attend.

“FYPColumbia is not just an event; it’s a celebration of community spirit and shared commitment. This event will help Midlands residents learn about social, service, professional, cultural, and volunteer organizations and small businesses in the area,” said Khali Gallman, event organizer, in a news release. “Staying rooted in your community means getting involved, and there are plenty of ways to get involved in Columbia. As we open registration, we invite organizations and businesses to join us in making a lasting impact.

“We also invite area residents to discover new possibilities, forge meaningful connections, and essentially find your place in building a stronger, more vibrant Columbia.”

Current exhibitors include: Benedict College, The Cheer Lender, Cola Rose Shower, Columbia Opportunity Resource (COR), Epitome of Real Estate, Soda City Certified App, Premier Legacy Final Expense Solutions, United Way of the Midlands | Women in Philanthropy, and Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity.
