First Citizens Bank continues to support Midlands Technical College’s QuickJobs program with a $50,000 donation for the second year in a row. There are currently more than 20 QuickJobs programs in the areas of business, advanced manufacturing, and healthcare that are eligible for scholarships.

QuickJobs are designed to provide intensive and complete job training that aims to develop workers for high demand jobs during the next decade. Funded primarily through private and corporate donations, participants must meet the eligibility requirements and attend a QuickJobs information session to qualify for a scholarship.

“The MTC Foundation is extremely thankful for First Citizens’ commitment to growing the workforce in the Midlands,” said MTC Foundation CEO Nancy McKinney. “We appreciate their continued investment in MTC.”

“First Citizens Bank is once again proud to join with Midlands Technical College to fund scholarships and support job training efforts through the QuickJobs program,” said James Bennett, Mid-South Area Executive at First Citizens Bank. “As part of our Forever First promise, we believe it’s important to give back to the communities we serve. We’re pleased that the QuickJobs program is providing intensive, efficient and complete job instruction, in a shortened timeframe, so participants can promptly take advantage of high-demand opportunities when they become available.”
