Colliers South Carolina’s Mary Winter Teaster represented Mullis Law Firm in the lease of a 1,425-square-foot office building at 1231 Elmwood Ave. to Thompson and Hiller Defense Firm.

(Photo/Provided)The property is located between the Central Business District and the growing NOMA District in downtown Columbia, situated at the signalized corner of Elmwood Avenue and Sumter Street, which allows easy access for clients and on-site parking at the rear of the building, according to a news release.

“The location and quaint office building is a perfect fit for the Thompson and Hiller firm,” Teaster said in the release. “The proximity to city and county courthouses as well as main traffic corridors was strategic. It has been great working with Pam Mullis once again to place a quality tenant next door to her successful practice.”

Founded in 2014, Thompson and Hiller Defense Firm attorneys are members of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Teaster is a senior brokerage associate with Colliers South Carolina with a focus on local small businesses, women-owned businesses and nonprofit organizations. She specializes in commercial property transactions located in the historic areas of downtown Columbia.

William Mills of Trinity Partners represented the landlord in leasing a 2,610-square-foot retail space at 952 Lake Murray Blvd. in Irmo.
