Colliers South Carolina’s John Gressette, Mary Winter Teaster and Rox Pollard III represented 823 Gervais LLC in the lease of about 5,900 square feet of retail space at 823 Gervais St. in the Vista section of Columbia to The Hollow Restaurant.

823 Gervais St. in Columbia (Photo/Provided)"823 Gervais Street became available at the heels of the COVID pandemic in March 2022 when restaurant spaces were not in high demand,” Teaster said in a news release. “This space was worthy of a fresh new concept within Columbia's hottest entertainment and dining district. The Hollow is a unique, single-location concept that will greatly enhance the Vista’s dining options."

The Hollow, owned by two local restauranteurs, is a “forest-to-table” concept that will serve fresh wild game, fish, root and other wild vegetables in addition to botanical-themed cocktails.

"It was a privilege to represent the property owner in locating a quality, local tenant to backfill the 5,900-square-foot vacancy left by Jason’s Deli," Gressette said in the release. "Chris Fitz and his team with The Hollow impressed us with their concept and market knowledge from the very start, and we look forward to the success and impact of this new restaurant in the Vista."
