Library at Lower Richland High open this summer

Listen to this articleRichland County Library is again operating a branch at Lower Richland High School this summer.
Through a partnership begun in 2016 with Richland School District One, the library will be open from 9 a.m. until noon Monday through Thursday until July 31. Available services include book holds, computer access, children’s story times and interactions with social workers, according to a news release.
Construction is also expected to begin this summer on Richland Library Lower Richland, located at 9019 Garners Ferry Road. The branch, across the street from Lower Richland High, will be the library system’s 13th location and is expected to be open by the end of the year.
The branch will feature public computers and a meeting space along with programming focused on literacy, workforce development and social services.
