Richland County residents can now apply for and pay for marriage licenses online.
A new measure was adopted by the county this week allowing the online processing in response to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19.
“This is a game-changer and the result of the talented people in Richland County’s IT department,” Amy McCulloch, county probate judge, said in a news release. “Hopefully, in this time of ‘stay safe, stay home,’ this can help couples take that next step.”
Residents can apply at richlandcountysc.gov/probate. Marriage licenses will be mailed.
