MTC holding event for former Virginia College students

Former Virginia College students are invited to an informational event tonight at Midlands Technical College to learn about MTC’s programs and investigate financial aid options.

MTC is waiving its $35 application fee for students displaced when Virginia College abruptly closed earlier this month after parent company Education Corp. of America lost its accreditation and funding.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the Lindau Engineering Technology building on MTC’s Beltline campus. MTC advisors will be on hand, and students interested in the school’s corporate and continuing education programs can learn if they are eligible for scholarship and internship opportunities.
