Guided tour of airport offered

Listen to this articleArea history buffs can learn more about the Jim Hamilton-L.B. Owens Airport during a guided tour on Sept. 6.
Richland County airport manager Chris Eversmann will lead a presentation about the historic airport and take visitors on a guided tour of the airport, which is home to the S.C. Aviation Hall of Fame and a B-25 bomber being restored by the S.C. Historic Aviation Foundation.
“History and Hangars” will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and limited space is available. Email pio@richlandscountysc.gov for more information or to reserve a spot.
The free event is part of Engage Richland, the county’s year-round series of events that encourages residents to learn more about local government.
