West Columbia-based Senn Brothers has been awarded a contract worth up to $35 million to provide fresh fruit and vegetables for Department of Defense customers in the South Carolina.
This was a competitive acquisition with three responses received, the Pentagon said.
The contract is for 18 months with two optional 18-month periods that can be added.
Military services that will be provided include installations for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard in the Palmetto State.
Founded in 1944, Senn Brothers offers a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables, peanuts, fresh herbs and spices, exotic vegetables, eggs, pickles, and juice.
