Mary Kessler is retiring as executive director of the Lourie Center, the nonprofit senior citizen center announced this week.
Kessler, who has been in the role since 2009, will see her retirement go into effect at the end of this week.
“My six years at the Lourie Center have been absolutely delightful,” she said. “I will miss the members, staff and volunteers immensely, but it is time for me to move on to other things.”
Kessler led the center through several transformative projects, including renovations, rebranding, renaming and significant program expansions.
A drop-in reception is schedule for Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lourie Center.
