Clemson grad Brown joins Nelson Mullins’ Columbia office

David L.M. Brown has joined the law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as an associate in its Columbia office where he will practice with the Business and Distribution Litigation Team.

Brown previously served as judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the 13th Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.

A former social studies teacher at an Anderson middle school, Brown also served internships in the Office of Chief Counsel at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and for an associate justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

He earned his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and History, cum laude, from Clemson University.

He is a member of both the South Carolina and Pennsylvania state Bars.
