Total Quality Logistics Services LLC, which last month announced plans to open a logistics and sales operation in downtown Columbia, has leased 11,312 square feet of office space in the Bank of America Plaza, 1901 Main St.
The BOA Plaza, a 303,156-square-foot Class A building, has the highest office tower occupancy in Columbia at 97%, according to Colliers International.
Colliers’ Allen Wilkerson represented the landlord, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, in the transaction.
On Aug. 31, the Ohio-based logistics company said it planned to invest $565,000 and create 100 jobs over the next five years in Columbia. The target opening date for the downtown office is Oct. 26.
Established in 1997 in Cincinnati, Total Quality Logistics has grown into one of the largest freight brokerage firms in North America. The company has 34 offices nationwide and employs more than 3,500 workers in 19 states. Its 2014 sales topped $2 billion.
