Plant and flower festival ready to bloom at SC Farmers Market

With (possibly false) spring in the air, many thoughts may be turning to digging in the dirt or serving up a seasonal favorite.

Anyone looking for additions to their garden, home or dining room table can browse the variety of vendors at the Midlands Spring Plant & Flower Festival, returning to the South Carolina State Farmers Market from April 7-10.

Visitors can shop for plants, garden essentials, Certified South Carolina produce, springtime decor and more. The Ask-A-Master Gardener booth will be back, while food vendors will be on hand and the Market Restaurant will be open for business.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at the Farmers Market, located at 3483 Charleston Highway in West Columbia.

Admission and parking are free. Wagons will be available for rent, but visitors are encouraged to bring their own are quantities are limited.

The Pee Dee Plant & Flower Festival will take place April 21-24 in Florence, with the Piedmont event set for April 28-May 1 in Greenville.
