After various test sessions, including tests at its Laurens Proving Grounds in South Carolina, Michelin and Cadillac have partnered on the 2016 CTS-V automobile.

Joint test sessions at Laurens, General Motor’s Milford Road Course, Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany, Road Atlanta and Virginia International Raceway led to Michelin’s Pilot Super Sport tire to be the exclusive tire of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V.

Thom Roach, vice president of original equipment marketing for Michelin North America, based in Greenville, said the joint development between the two companies “strengthens the strategic engineering initiative between our companies.”

“Similar to our exclusive fitment on the first-ever Cadillac ATS-V, CTS-V owners will enjoy a smoother ride, improved dry handling, excellent performance in the rain, low noise and long tread life,” Roach said.
