Nominations sought for Columbia Chamber of Commerce awards

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the fifth annual Columbia Impact Awards. Nominations in four categories are due Dec. 14.

The categories are:

• The Small Business of the Year award highlights successful businesses with no more than 50 staff members for contributions to the chamber and the business community. Nominations must provide business growth and achievements as well as growth potential and future vision.
• The Diversity and Inclusion award honors a chamber partner that creates a positive, diverse work environment free from bias and discrimination.
• The Golden Nail award recognizes a partner for exemplary contributions to the physical character of the Midlands region through cosmetic or commercial efforts, such as the restoration of a historic building or the repurposing of a blighted space. Photographs are requested.
• The Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated organizational and community leadership along with a willingness to serve others.

Award winners will be recognized at a Feb. 21 banquet at the Columbia Marriott.
