S.C. Department of Commerce creates business development directory

Listen to this articleSouth Carolina’s Commerce Department launched a new business development website earlier this week.
The site, SCBizDev.ScCommerce.com was designed to connect state companies with funding, data and analytics, local resources and potential buyers, according to a news release. Features include directories listing business consultation, funding and workforce recruitment opportunities, as well as a tool to help individual companies evaluate S.C. markets and competition.
"To maintain South Carolina's competitive edge, it is imperative companies have access to a myriad of resources needed to grow and succeed," Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt said in the release. "Our state has built a reputation for our business-friendly climate. This new online asset is the latest tool in our arsenal that connects with the needs of all companies that call South Carolina home — now and in the future."
