Jenkins named new Richland Library entrepreneur-in-residence

Karen R. Jenkins, recently recognized by the Columbia Regional Business Report as a community leader, is the new entrepreneur-in-residence at Richland Library.

Jenkins (Photo/Provided)Jenkins, president and CEO of KRJ Consulting LLC, will work with entrepreneurs and small businesses from Aug. 15 until Dec. 15. She will offer her expertise in business and finance through online programs, digital content on the library’s website and virtual office hours, according to a news release from the library.

Jenkins was one of 26 honorees in the Business Report’s recent list of 2020 Icons & Phenoms. Her firm specializes in workforce development, staffing assistance and management consulting services for government agencies, companies and small businesses.

Developed in 2019, the library’s entrepreneur-in-residence program is being continued through a recent $140,000 grant from the American Library Association’s Libraries Build Business initiative, funded by $2 million investment by Google.org as part of its Grow with Google program.
