The Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is kicking off a new community branding campaign aimed at uniting and promoting local businesses.

The chamber has asked the cities of West Columbia and Cayce to each appoint four members to a community branding committee that will begin meeting virtually next week.

“To bring a cohesive look, to provide creative services and to extend new membership benefits, we don’t need to look to out-of-state companies,” Thomas Tafel, chamber chair, said in a news release. “Our chamber members have exactly what we need right here in the Cayce-West Columbia area that will make this branding project a tremendous success.”

A request for proposals for creative and membership services will be sent to all chamber members on Sept. 4, according to the release.

The organization expects to unveil its new look by early 2021. To join the chamber and receive the request for proposal, visit cwcchamber.com or call 803-794-6504.

“There is absolutely no better voice to recruit visitors, economic development opportunities and potential businesses for our area than those that already live and work here,” said Tim James, chamber president and CEO.
