Boyer Commercial Construction Inc. has been awarded a contract to provide services at eight major Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and related facilities.

The Columbia-headquartered construction company was awarded a five-year, $500 million multiple award task order contract for services supporting the VA, including construction, maintenance, alterations and repairs at the medical centers and off-site facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network 7.

“This contract supports our vision and commitment to bring the quality of project delivery Boyer Construction provides its private clients to the public sector,” Justin Schaeffer, Boyer’s director of federal contracts, said in a news release. “As members of the veteran community that use the VA health care system, we are honored to be selected for this MATOC.”

The contract covers a fast-growing region of 244 counties in South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia, according to the release. The medical centers are located in Columbia, Charleston, Atlanta and Augusta, as well as in Dublin, Birmingham and central Alabama. The service network also serves 57 outpatient clinics throughout the region.

“We are humbled to be selected for this contract, and fully recognize the responsibility of building for the men and women who selflessly served our nation,” Brian Boyer, president and owner of Boyer Commercial Construction, said. “We are excited to partner with the talented subcontractor community located in the Midlands to compete for the extensive requirements of this contract.”
