Staley, Williams begin Richland Library residencies

Richland Library has a new artist-in-residence and a new entrepreneur-in-residence.

(Photo/Provided)Tammaka Staley is a Columbia native who runs Talks with Tammaka, a performance art and speaking brand. Staley is also the founder and executive director of Youth Affirming Sex Education LLC. She hosts writing workshops and coaches youth and young adults on poem construction and stage performance and facilitates dialogue about gender, racial and sexuality issues.

Kevin Williams is the founder of Cognizant Leadership LLC and the owner of Escapology Columbia, an escape room in the Congaree Vista. Williams has more than 25 years of national and international business experience in a variety of technical and leadership positions. 

During their residencies, Staley and Williams will serve as liaisons to area artistic and entrepreneurial communities, working with Richland Library staff to offer fee online programs and online office hours to interact with residents. They will curate digital content to highlight and share their expertise.

Staley’s residency extends through June, while Williams’ residency extends through May.
