The University of South Carolina Columbia Technology Incubator will be working with the Columbia International University School of Business and Professional Studies to help entrepreneurs find success in business.
Officials with the university programs signed a memorandum of understanding that allows collaboration in entrepreneurial programs, solutions, jobs and support networks, according to a news release from CIU.
The collaboration will focus on developing programs and curriculum, developing entrepreneurial training and workshops, pursuing grants to assist in the partnership’s growth and establishing international business outreach programs.
“Working with institutions of higher education such as CIU and within their School of Business will elevate the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Midlands, the state and the international community,” Chad Hardaway, executive director of the USC Columbia Technology Incubator, said.
Last month, Columbia International University opened its $20 million William H. Jones Global Business and IT Center.
