Richland Library will kick off its celebration of Black History Month with a cultural fair on Jan. 25.
Black History Month Fair 2020: The Jubilation Begins will explore African American contributions to history and culture through activities and displays. Featured events will include a performance from the Benedict College Concert Choir, African storytelling and drumming with N.C.-based performance arts group The Healing Force, and a presentation from the National Society of Black Engineers.
Health screenings will also be available.
The fair is free and open to the public and will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Richland Library’s main branch at 1431 Assembly St.
