A new partnership between Fort Jackson and Columbia International University will make business administration degrees available to soldiers enlisted in the Chaplain Corps.

Soldiers attending U.S. Army Chaplain Center courses will be eligible for a bachelor’s degree at the private Chrisitan university, where active duty Army members can also receive a discounted rate of $250 per credit hour, according to a news release. The newly signed Academic Articulation Agreement will translate soldiers’ military training into college credits.

“We are excited to partner with Fort Jackson to honor the hard work that our military service members do each and every day by converting their experience into college credits,” Scott Boyer, director of CIU graduate and online recruitment, said in a news release. “It is just a small way for us to say thank you for their sacrifice.”
