The Celerian Group, an organization of companies that provides administrative and training services to state and federal agencies, has acquired Maryland-based federal contracting firm JBS International Inc.
The acquisition expands the ability of the Celerian Group, a division of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, to offer business management services to public and private companies.
JBS has more than 30 years’ experience providing data analytics, business development, performance management and strategic communications services in social science research, technical assistance and other public-sector services. It specializes in health and social issues such as opioid addiction, aging-related challenges, immigration and education. The company also focuses on emerging trends in public health and health systems reform.
“Our customers come to us with complex business needs,” said Bruce Hughes, president of the Celerian Group, in a news release. “Being able to more fully address those needs through one trusted business partner is cost-saving, simplifies the process and creates peace of mind that details are front and center.”
JBS, with 315 employees and headquarters in North Bethesda, Md., also has offices in Burlingame, Calif., and Atlanta.
