A Lexington County man has been arrested on charges of operating a retail business without a license.

South Carolina Department of Revenue agents arrested Keith Anthony Miller, 52, of Leesville, operator of Miller Mower and Small Engine Repair, on Monday. Miller is charged with one count of operating a retail business without a license, according to a news release from the revenue department.

According to the arrest warrant, Miller’s retail business license was revoked on July 3, 2018, because of unpaid business taxes. The SCDOR advised him at that time to close his business and cease sales, but Miller continued to make sales without a valid license, the warrant alleges.

Miller is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center pending a bond hearing. He faces a maximum sentence of a $200 fine or 30 days in jail, or both, if convicted.
