A ribbon-cutting ceremony for LaVie Pregnancy Care Center in Lexington will be held on Wednesday. The center, located at 1271 Calks Ferry Road, opened Nov. 2 and provides services such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, peer counseling, maternity support items and adoption referrals at no cost to clients.
LaVie is a ministry of Lexington Interfaith Community Services, which has had a presence in Lexington County for 39 years.
“We are excited to open the doors of this much-needed resource in Lexington County,” said LICS executive director Robin Bowers said in a news release. “We are grateful for the financial support from the community.”
The grand opening and ribbon cutting is scheduled for 4 p.m.
