A new senior living facility, financed through the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority, is planned for Lexington County.

Lakeside Place, a 66-unit, 80-bed assisted living and memory care facility, is slated to open this fall at U.S. 378 and Wise Ferry Road, according to its website. The facility is expected to create 55 jobs within a year of its opening.

JEDA issued an $11.9 million economic development revenue bond for the project, according to a news release. The financing included a tax-exempt bond of $11.2 million and a taxable bond of $750,000.

The facility will be operated by Charlotte, N.C.-based CR Senior Living. That company’s other S.C. properties include similar facilities in Boiling Springs and Lady’s Island.

“We’re excited to be able to soon offer Lakeside Place Senior Living as a wonderful setting for quality living and compassionate care in one of the most dynamic communities in South Carolina,” said Ryan Lambert, CR Senior Living managing partner.

Created in 1983, JEDA is a statewide distributor of special obligation revenue bonds.
