Lexington Medical Center is hosting a Nurses Night Out recruiting event to fill open positions at the hospital’s expanding medical care facilities.

Earlier this year, Lexington Medical Center completed the largest hospital expansion in state history with a new 545,000-square-foot patient care center at its campus on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia. The hospital also operates 70 physician practices throughout Columbia.

In 2020, Urgent Care at Saluda Pointe will open near the intersection of Highway 378 and Interstate 20, and a new medical building in Northeast Columbia is scheduled to open in fall of 2020.

Nurses Night Out will be held Oct. 16 in downtown Columbia. Interested applicants who text “RSVP” to 972-11 by Oct. 11 will receive details about the event, including the location.

Representatives from the nursing leadership at Lexington Medical Center and hospital executives will be available to discuss available job opportunities.

The informal event includes music, food, a photo booth, giveaways and a grand prize drawing.

Lexington Medical Center employs more than 6,500 health care professionals and treats nearly 100,000 patients per year in the emergency department, according to a news release.
