Lexington Medical Center is partnering with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control to provide free COVID-19 testing in West Columbia on June 16.

The free testing, which is open to West Columbia and Cayce residents, will take place at Brookland Baptist Church, located at 1066 Sunset Blvd., from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Clinics will administer the nasal swab tests in a drive-thru format, according to a news release from Lexington Medical Center.

DHEC is providing the test kits, which will be processed by a third-party lab.

On Tuesday, DHEC announced 285 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death, bringing the state’s reported totals to 12,415 cases and 501 deaths.
