Disposable face masks to be distributed Friday

Listen to this articleRichland County will be distributing free masks on Friday as part of efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Masks will be given away in packs of two on a first-come, first-serve basis at 3603 Broad River Road, site of the former Walmart Neighborhood Market, according to the county’s website. District 2 Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson is playing host to the drive-through giveaway, one of several distribution events set to take place in the coming weeks, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The county, which voted on Aug. 31 to extend its face mask ordinance until Nov. 6, expects to give away around 67,000 disposable masks in the next few weeks.
