Tickets are on sale for the 2019 Columbia Food and Wine Festival, which is adding several satellite events in its second year.
General admission tickets for the festival, to be held April 28 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Five Points on Saluda Avenue, are $65 and available at columbiafoodandwinefestival.com. The festival will feature tastings from more than 40 local restaurants, along with works from local artisans and musical performances.
Tickets to a sneak peek event, which begins at noon, are available for $85. VIP passes are also on sale for $100.
Six kickoff events will also be held this year, beginning with a festival kickoff dinner April 26 at Saluda’s Restaurant. Led by Saluda executive chef Josh Rogerson, the dinner will include five courses, along with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, prepared by various Columbia-area chefs.
Other events include Brunch at BullStreet, to be held at the First Base Building at Segra Park; an International Food Corridor at Soda City Market; Brews and Views at River Rat Brewery; Sips & A Seminar in the Pastor’s Study at Lula Drake wine bar; and Heirloom Breeds and Seeds Dinner at the Seibels House. The April 27 dinner, highlighting heirloom and sustainable ingredients, will be prepared by Motor Supply Co. Bistro executive chef Wes Fulmer and Spotted Salamander owner and executive chef Jessica Shillato.
