Five Points fountain to be dyed green on Sunday

Five Points will kick off its annual St. Pat’s festivities with the traditional dyeing of the fountain at the corner of Greene  and Harden streets on Sunday.

The kickoff event, sponsored by Gregory Electric, begins at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. There will be musical and dance performances, along with free T-shirts and green popcorn. Food and beverage vendors, along with face painting and balloon artists, will also be on hand.

Advance tickets for the 2019 St. Pat’s festival in Five Points are now on sale online and at pre-sale outlets.

Advance tickets are $20. Tickets are $25 at the gate on March 16. Pre-sale outlets accept only cash and will have tickets available until March 15 or until supplies run out.

The 2019 festival will feature headlining band Dashboard Confessional as well as dozens of other musical performers.

Pre-sale outlets include: ColaKicks, located at 902 Harden St.; Green’s Beverages, 400 Assembly St.; Cycle Center, 1001 Harden St.; Village Idiot Pizza, 2009 Devine St.; and Yesterday’s Restaurant and Tavern, 2030 Devine St.
