Free transportation will be provided before and after the Five Points St. Patrick’s Day festivities.
The Comet will run free shuttles from satellite parking locations to festival gates from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The parking locations are Taylor Street garage and the fairgrounds RV parking, according to a news release from the Five Points Association.
Parking in neighborhoods is for residents only. Food, drinks, backpacks, coolers and containers are not allowed on the shuttles.
After the festivities, free or discounted cabs will be available through Checker Yellow Cab. The first $10 of cab fare will be paid for by the cab company and the Five Points Foundation for passengers headed to a home or hotel.
Pick-up locations for the cabs will be Blossom Street near Wells Fargo, Devine Street near Jake’s or Harden Street near Chick-fil-A.
For those planning to use Uber, Lyft or other cabs to leave the festivities, the only pickup location will be Blossom and Heidt, down from the admission gate at BB&T.
Tickets for the event range from $20 to $125.
The 2019 festival features headlining band Dashboard Confessional as well as dozens of other musical performers.
