The Richland County Library is holding the Not-So-Spooky Halloween Stroll on Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown Columbia.

The child-friendly stroll begins at the library’s main branch at 1431 Assembly St. with a trick-or-treat and holiday-themed activities. Participants will then cross Assembly Street with help from the Columbia Police Department and City Center Partnership volunteers to trick-or-treat at nearly two dozen businesses in the central business district.

Participating businesses include Mast General Store, Nickelodeon Theatre, Something Special Flowers and Gifts, Indah Coffee and Uptown Gifts.

Later in the evening, the library will host children ages 12 to 18 at a Ghoul’s Night In featuring gourmet caramel apples and a showing of Hocus Pocus.

Costumes are encouraged.
