Columbia Fireflies fans can have their names featured on the team’s first home jersey of the 2021 season.

Supporters of the Class A minor league baseball team can purchase ticket packages starting at $30 that include a personalized jersey presence. The jerseys are white with a block text “Fireflies” logo on the front and numbers on the back. The body of the jersey, which features blue sleeves with a yellow stripe, will be filled with names of those who purchase packages.

The packages also include a donation to Columbia nonprofit Homeless No More.

”This is a great way for the community to join forces with the Fireflies as we launch this innovative initiative,” Fireflies team president John Katz said in a news release. “It represents an opportunity to support the team, support a fantastic non-profit in Homeless No More, and to represent you, your family or loved ones by adding a name or several names to the jersey. It’s a great win-win proposition.”

The eight available packages range from $30 to $2,500, with varying tickets, experiences and donations.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Columbia Fireflies and are thankful for all they do in the community,” Elizabeth Blake Dudek, director of development for Homeless No More, said. “We are honored to have them on our team as we end family homelessness.”

The jerseys will be signed by players and auctioned off during the game, with bids taken at Segra Park and online.
