The Columbia Fireflies will begin the 2021 with Segra Park at half capacity, with a maximum of around 5,000 fans at each game.

Sections of the ballpark will also feature socially distant seating pods or reduced capacity, according to a news release from the team. Seating policies will be updated throughout the season in accordance with guidelines from the city of Columbia, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Major League Baseball.

All individual and group tickets will be digital in 2021, the Fireflies said, with emailed tickets printable or scannable on cell phones. Season ticket holders will be issued scannable membership cards.

Beginning this season and moving forward, Segra Park will become a cashless facility, with all major credit cards accepted at every point of sale, including parking lots, concession stands and the Mason Jar team store, which will operate with a 20-person shopping limit. Parking will be $5 per car.

Cash can be converted into Fireflies gift cards, available in $5 increments at guest services. The cards will not have an expiration date, according to the team.

Ticket prices begin at $5 on the Bojangles Berm and include $10 reserved seats and $56, four-ticket bullpen boxes. Individual game tickets for the 2021 season will be released monthly, with tickets for May games going on sale April 27 at 10 a.m. Tickets for the remaining months will go on sale approximately two weeks before the next month’s first game.

Masks will be required when entering Segra Park and when not actively eating or drinking while seated. Fans will be able to order concessions from their seats on any mobile device.

All Fireflies employees will be required to wear a mask at all times, and Segra Park’s clear bag policy will remain in effect for the 2021 season.

More information is available by calling the Fireflies box office at 803-726-4487 or by visiting the team’s What to Know Before You Go webpage.

The Fireflies open the 2021 season May 4 at Augusta before beginning a six-game homestand against Charleston May 11.
