The Grand on Main is adding a dessert and cocktail lounge to the bottom level of the restaurant and boutique bowling alley featuring the creations of New York-based pastry chef Rory Macdonald.

The Robinson Room opens today and will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 4:30 p.m. until midnight at 1621 Main St.

The London-born Macdonald has worked with Gordon Ramsey and led restaurant teams to a total of three Michelin Stars. In 2012, he helped open Hakkasan’s flagship New York City location before debuting his first solo concept, Patisserie Chanson + Dessert Bar, in 2016.

“I’m thrilled to bring my unique perspective on dessert concoctions and display my passion for excellence in this partnership with The Grand on Main in the new Robinson Room,” Macdonald said in a news release. “We will offer top-notch desserts coupled with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and a bar with exclusive selections and tasty cocktails.”

The Robinson Room will also feature in-house pastry chefs Kyle Smothers, winner of The Food Network’s Holiday Wars, and Lynn Fairweather, who brings more than 25 years of experiences as a chef.

Robinson Room reservations can be made at online at thegrandonmain.com.
