Plant lovers can get their yards and gardens ready for fall at the Midlands Plant and Flower Festival, scheduled for Oct. 7-9 at the South Carolina State Farmers Market.
The market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway in West Columbia.
Visitors can shop for fall plants and flowers, pumpkins, gourds, decorative items for yard and home and in-season produce from certified South Carolina growers, according to a news release. Master gardeners will also be available to answer questions about fall planting.
The festival will run 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9. Admission and parking are free.
Wagons will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but visitors are encouraged to bring their own due to a limited quantity.
