Fireflies to hold annual job fair on Saturday

The Columbia Fireflies will hold their annual job fair on Saturday at Segra Park from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The minor league baseball team is looking to fill approximately 300 seasonal and part-time game day positions for the 2019 season

Available positions include ushers, ticket takers, box office employees, parking attendants, greeters, photographers, merchandise staff, grounds crew, concessions and wait staff, mascots and mascot handlers, and video production and special events workers.

“The daily operation of Segra Park would not be possible if it weren’t for our amazing Gameday Experience Team,” Fireflies team president John Katz said in a news release. “The job fair is a chance to find new and exciting people who want to be part of creating memories for Fireflies fans here at the ballpark.”

New applicants are encouraged to download an application at ColumbiaFireflies.com (under the club info and employment tabs) and bring it to the job fair. A returning employee application is also available online and can be dropped off at the ballpark before Feb. 15.

Anyone unable to attend the job fair can scan and email an application to jobs@columbiafireflies.com.

Segra Park changed its name from Spirit Communications Park earlier this year as part of a merger.
