The Palmetto State Job Fair is set for March 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The free event, held in conjunction with the S.C. Chamber of Commerce and Midlands-area chambers, will feature more than 100 employers, including AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, Lexington Medical Center, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Prisma Health, EdVenture and Samsung. Also scheduled to participate are representatives from the S.C. Department of Social Services, the S.C. Department of Health and Human Services, Richland County School District One and police departments from the University of South Carolina, Lexington, the city of Columbia and Greenville, among others.

ECPI University’s Columbia campus is serving as the event host for the sixth year.

“For our participating employers, this has become a much-anticipated event,” ECPI University Columbia campus president Jim Rund said in a news release. “Working together, we are having a profound effect on the economic development of the region and potentially bettering the lives of our many job seekers.”

Employers wishing to participate in the event should contact ECPI career service advisor Meredith Morris at MeMorris@ecpi.edu or 803-772-3333, ext. 75529.
