More than 100 employers are expected to be at the seventh annual Palmetto State Job Fair, hosted by ECPI University’s Columbia campus.
The job fair will be held March 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. It is free and open to the public.
The Palmetto State Job Fair is organized by ECPI and chambers of commerce representing the state of South Carolina, Columbia, Greater Irmo, Greater Cayce West Columbia, Greater Lexington, and Kershaw County, according to a news release from ECPI University.
Employers are scheduled to have representatives available to discuss job opportunities with potential candidates. Organizers expect more than 2,000 job seekers to attend and encourage them to bring resumes and be dressed to interview. Space is available for employers who would like to participate.
Employers expected to participate include AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, Lexington Medical Center, Prisma Health, Richland County School District One, the S.C. Department of Corrections, and Shaw Industries.
“For our participating employers, this has become a much-anticipated event,” said ECPI University Columbia campus president Jim Rund in the release. “Working together, we are having a profound effect on the economic development of the region and potentially bettering the lives of our many job seekers.”
