SCRA accepts 3 Midlands companies into SC Launch

SCRA has three Midlands-based startups into its entrepreneurial program, SC Launch. The companies will receive support services and mentoring and may be eligible for funding.

AgriLinx provides hardware and software for the agriculture industry to customize operations including equipment and labor tracking. The company features an irrigation management application that includes a customizable hardware deployment of sensors, valve controllers and pump relays.

Compliance Innovations is developing an electronic car license plate that would allow the Department of Motor Vehicles to wirelessly update the plate when it’s issued, renewed, expired, suspended or canceled. SCRA approved the Columbia-based company for an acceleration grant to aid with prototyping last November.

Guhroo provides a brandable platform for payroll and human resources services providers that includes time tracking and paperless onboarding. The company was also approved for an acceleration grant last November.

Two Upstate companies were also accepted into SC Launch. Audience development company 6AM City delivers local content via daily newsletters to six Southeast markets, while True Load Time is developing a digital platform for the trucking industry to enhance connectivity. TrayAway, a Charleston-based company focused on hospitality and hotels, also received acceptance into SC Launch.

SCRA is a state-chartered organization focused on job creation and innovation.
