The South Carolina Research Authority has accepted three new member companies, including a mobile health records provider relocating from Seattle to Anderson, and distributed new grant funding to three other startups throughout the state.

The three new SCRA members are: Bricolage Dynamics Inc., a Liberty-based startup that collects and turns household glass into sustainable sand for re-use in local construction and landscaping industries; Mainstage Gaming Network, a Rock Hill-based event technology service that builds platforms to create inclusive gaming events and tournaments; and VYRTY Corp. (doing business as SyncMD), which also received a $50,000 relocation grant to assist its move from Seattle to Anderson. SyncMD is a secure mobile personal health record platform with an app that allows patients to share data and personal records with anyone at any time.

In addition, Maven Therapy LLC and PulManage Inc. received $50,000 acceleration grants, while Prewrite Inc. received a $25,000 project development fund grant.

Maven Therapy, based in Florence, is developing a physical therapy machine that can be used by patients who have suffered a spinal cord or brain injury or a stroke, whether seated or in bed. Chapin-based PulManage provides pulmonary diagnostic testing devices, supplies and training and partners with health care providers to improve pulmonary health management. Prewrite, based in Greenville, provides a story development platform for writers, producers and content creators.

All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for an investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate SC Launch Inc

Grant funding is made possible in part by contributions to the SCRA's Industry Partnership Fund. Fund contributors receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.
