South Carolina Research Authority announces new members and grant recipients

Two new companies have been accepted as members of the South Carolina Research Authority, and four others have received new grant funding.

The new members are Glossifi and Sitelabs, and grants were given to Builder Rocket, CloseWise, Drobot and PeriopHealth.

All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the chance to be considered for investment from the Authority’s investment affiliate SC Launch Inc., according to a news release.

West Columbia-based software development Glossifi builds a blockchain analytics service for Ethereum and is also building a protocol to improve security and user experience for digital assets.

Sitelabs is based in Seneca and is a life science company that offers an automated testing process, easy access to testing supplies, and competitive pricing to help independent pharmacies serve the healthcare needs of communities while still managing a profitable business.

The four grant recipients all received $25,000 Project Development Fund Grants.

Spartanburg-based Builder Rocket LLC is an information technology company that produces a construction estimating software that builds a comprehensive customer product storyboard and estimating template that shares information among builders, clients, distributors, and contractors. 

Closewise LLC, an IT company out of Lexington, provides a notary database and scheduling software developed for signing agents, signing services and title and escrow companies in order to digitalize the signing process.

Greenville-based Drobot Inc. is an IT company with a patent-pending approach that makes autonomous mobile robots more capable, affordable and scalable so they will be able to navigate large and dynamic real-world environments.

PeriopHealth LLC out of Charleston offers a surgical instrument solution that creates a real-time perpetual inventory, reduces waste and helps to optimize instrument workflows and quality in sterile environments.
