Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems manufacturer Allied Air Enterprises will invest $10 million in its Orangeburg County manufacturing facility over the next five years, a move expected to create 100 jobs.
Allied Air, headquartered in West Columbia, is a component of HVAC manufacturer Lennox International Inc.
“Our commitment to invest in the Orangeburg facility is a direct result of the hard work and efforts of our local team members at the plant,” Baxter Krutsch, director of human resources for Allied Air, said in a news release. “We have become a part of the local community over the last 16 years and look forward to a successful partnership for many years to come.”
The company’s flagship Orangeburg plant, located at 355 Millennium Drive, produces complete HVAC units along with replacement parts for residential and commercial HVAC products.
“We're truly grateful for Allied Air in our community. Lennox has been a great partner in our community and we appreciate the local leadership,” Orangeburg County Council Chairman Johnnie Wright Sr. said. “Currently, Allied Air represents over 900,000 square feet of space in our county, and we welcome the additional jobs and capital investment. What a wonderful Christmas present for many families.”
